A Franklin, Illinois man is dead after a fiery crash in Randolph County Tuesday afternoon.

Illinois State Police say 55 year old Mickey Clayton was killed when propane truck he was driving rear-ended a coal truck and caught fire. The accident happened about 2:30 p.m. along County Line Road near Blackstump Road, just east of Steelville.

Firefighters had begun to put the fire out when a propane leak sent them ducking for cover. Moments later, an explosion sent a fireball more than 100 feet into the air. It took about 40 firefighters another hour to get the fire out.

The driver of the coal truck wasn't hurt.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.

The beverage blends Bud Light Lime with the taste of strawberry margarita. Budweiser executives say they tapped into the non-beer drinking market with last summers Lime-a-rita. That brew sold over half a million barrels last year.

The Straw-ber-Rita will be available 8 oz, 16 oz, and 24 oz cans.

St. Louis Police Officer charged for domestic abuse

A St. Louis Police Officer has been suspended and faces domestic assault charges for an incident earlier this month.

Officer Matthew Schanz was involved in an incident while off-duty on March 10. In addition to the domestic assault charges, he is also charged with resisting or interfering with an arrest. Schanz has been with the department for three years and was placed on desk duty after the incident. Now that charges are filed, Schanz has been suspended.

Police Chief Sam Dotson says the department is committed to identify officers who undermine the integrity of the department.
