RENO, Nev. (AP) - Authorities say they've found two adults and four children who've been missing in the frigid mountains of northern Nevada since Sunday.

Pershing County sheriff's officials say the adults and children were being taken to Pershing General Hospital after they were found Tuesday. All were in good condition.

Temperatures in the nearby town of Lovelock dipped to 16 degrees below during the search.

Crews launched a search Sunday night for 34-year-old James Glanton, his 25-year-old girlfriend, Christina McIntee, and the four children: a 10-year-old, two 4-year-olds and a 3-year-old.

Officials say the group went to the Seven Troughs area Sunday to play in the snow, but never returned home.

SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Police say it was a student who opened fire at a Nevada middle school today, killing a staff member who was trying to protect other children.

The suspected gunman also is dead, but authorities say no shots were fired by law enforcement, though more than 150 officers responded.

The shooting erupted outside Sparks Middle School shortly before classes began this morning. Two other students were critically injured in the incident. They were both taken to a nearby hospital, where one is out of surgery. Police say the other as doing well.

Students from the middle school and next door elementary school were evacuated to the nearby high school, and classes were canceled. At the evacuation center, parents walked with their arms around their children, some of whom were in tears.

The city of Sparks lies just east of Reno.

MO woman, 62, died in NV motel car fire

   FERNLEY, Nev. (AP) - The victim of a fatal car fire in a Fernley motel parking lot has been identified as a 62-year-old Missouri woman.

   Lyon County Sheriff's Lt. J.L. Pattison said Thursday dental records confirmed the identity of Greiss Ghobrial of Wildwood, Mo. He said the cause of death remains under investigation but no foul play is suspected.

   Her body was found in a burned out car by emergency crews responding to a report of a fire late Tuesday night at the Comfort Suites off U.S. Interstate 80 about 30 miles east of Reno.

   Firefighters said they found her inside the car after they extinguished the blaze.

More than a half dozen Marines have been killed in a training exercise near Reno.

The Marine Corps says seven Marines were killed during live fire training at Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada. It's part of the Joint Munitions Command. There is ammunition stored and disposed of there but the Marines say the incident happened during a mortar firing exercise late Monday night.

Besides the seven Marines killed several others with the 2nd Marine Division were injured. The cause is under investigation.

Missouri fines Nevada telemarketers $41,500

Two Nevada companies have agreed to pay Missouri $41,500 in penalties for violating the state's no-call law for telemarketers, according to the Missouri attorney general's office.

Attorney General Chris Koster said in a statement that his office received more than 175 complaints about the companies, Firebrand Group SL and Worldwide Commerce Associates. Consumers reported that the companies were trying to sell services such as cruise packages and tax services.

In addition to the cash penalty, the companies have agreed to stop making telemarketing calls to any consumer in the state of Missouri who has placed his or her phone number on the Missouri do-not-call list without the consumer's express consent, Koster's office said.

Missourians can sign up for the do-not-call hotline on Koster's website at ago.mo.gov or by calling (866) 662-2551.
