Fifty-three-year-old James Harrison of West Plains pleaded guilty Monday to receiving and distributing child pornography over the Internet.

Prosecutors say they found 474 child pornography videos and 560 images of child pornography on Harrison's computers and digital media at his home.
The U.S. Attorney's office says in a news release that the victims ranged in age from 3 to 13 or 14.

Harrison faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison without parole, with the possibility of 20 years, plus a fine up to $250,000. No sentencing date has been set.

A popular High Ridge doctor is facing child sex assault and pornography charges.
Police initially investigated Dr. Craig Pope after child pornography was traced to his computers.  St. Louis County Police Detective Adam Kavanaugh is the investigator on the case.  He spoke with Fox 2 news about the investigation.  "We knew that child pornography was being distributed from Dr. Pope's medical practice, and from his home as well," he said.
During questioning, police say they discovered child sexual abuse against four female family members that dates back to 1986.  The victims ranged in age from 2-16. Police say there had been an investigation in 2006, but no charges because family members were reluctant to testify.
St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCullough says Dr. Pope is facing 16 charges so far, but that could change if more victims come forward.  "Considering the allegations in this case and the evidence in this case, I'd be shocked if there weren't additional victims out there," McCullough said.
Dr. Pope treated many children and teens at the Dillon Plaza Family Medicine Group in High Ridge.  Anyone who may be a victim is urged to call St. Louis County Police at (314) 889-2341.
Pope is currently jailed on a one-million dollar bond.

FBI identifies John Doe 27

He has only been known as John Doe 27. But Thursday, the FBI announced it had identified the man wanted in connection with child pornography circulating on the Internet.

Authorities say the man was photographed while engaging in sexually explicit activities with a child.

Law enforcement agencies went of the offensive earlier this week and it is now believed that tips generated from the publicity campaign have led to the identification and location, in the Midwest, of the man in the photographs.

At this time, no arrest warrants have been issued or served, but the investigation continues. The FBI says it is grateful to the public for their vigilance and assistance in this case.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - An Oklahoma doctor is charged with using a teenage Missouri boy to produce child pornography.

The U.S. attorney's office says Shelby Coleman was arrested over the weekend after going to a Springfield hotel and texting instructions for the 16-year-old to come to his room. The 36-year-old Tulsa Women's Health Clinic doctor was charged Monday in federal court and is being held in the Greene County Jail. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.

An affidavit says Coleman and the Laclede County teen sent one another sexually explicit text messages and images. The teen's father contacted the Missouri State Highway Patrol after discovering the messages, and a state trooper used the teen's phone to set up the meeting.
