Charges are filed after a toddler died in a hot car yesterday.
Wayne Hubert was charged with involuntary manslaughter of a family member and endangering the life of a child. Police say Hubert was watching his 23-month-old son and 4-year-old daughter on Thursday. After loading his son up in the car, he went back inside but got distracted and forgot about the boy. His mother found him hours later.
Hubert is held on a quarter-a-million dollar bond.
One man is in the hospital after being stabbed by a robber who was trying to take his food stamps.
The victim was approached by the suspect in North County late last night. Police say the robber told the man to give him his food stamps. When the victim resisted, the two started fighting. The robber stabbed the man three times and ran away.
Police are looking for a black male who is about 165lbs, 5’9″ tall and 25-30 years old. The victim is in stable condition.
Still no suspect in custody after an elderly man was beaten during a home invasion last week.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department say the 91-year-old man was home alone when several suspects forced their way into his house. The victim tried to stop the men, but they attacked him. The man remains in the hospital and the investigation continues.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A Missouri House leader has begun an investigation into a state program that subsidizes brownfield redevelopment in the wake of a newspaper report citing problems involving hazardous waste cleanup and demolition of a shopping mall.
Republican Rep. Jay Barnes of Jefferson City, chairman of a government accountability committee, wants answer from two state agencies about how tax credits valued at nearly $8 million were awarded for the project at Northwest Plaza in St. Louis County.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the state allowed a single company, Environmental Operations Inc. of St. Louis, to design an asbestos cleanup plan, manage the bid process, and hire itself for the work.
The company's owner denies wrongdoing. The mall developers and state officials declined comment.
