NEW YORK (AP) — Police have identified the body of a man found floating on the Manhattan side of the Hudson River as that of a fashion designer who was reported missing last week.
Police say 55 year old Michele Savoia's body was discovered off Chelsea Piers Sunday afternoon not far from where he lived aboard his boat. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
It wasn't clear how Savoia ended up in the river, but police do not suspect foul play. He was last seen alive leaving a nearby nightclub early Thursday morning.
Savoia reportedly designed hand-crafted suits for celebrities and had a boutique on the Lower East Side.

GENEVA (AP) — An Ethiopian Airlines plane destined for Rome was forced to land early Monday in Geneva, where the hijacker was arrested, authorities said.
The airline said one of its planes had been "forced to proceed to Geneva." Its website said the flight landed safely and "all passengers and crew are safe." It gave no further details.
Police escorted passengers one by one, their hands over their heads, from the taxied plane to waiting vehicles.
Swiss police said the plane made an unscheduled landing in the Swiss city at 6 a.m. (0500 GMT) and the hijacker was arrested. Police spokesman Jean-Philippe Brandt told The Associated Press that "the situation is under control" and nobody on the flight was injured.
Further details of the incident were to be released at a news conference in Geneva at 9 a.m. (0800 GMT).
Cairo airport officials said the pilot of the plane, flight 702, informed the control tower at Abu Simbel in southern Egypt that his plane had been hijacked. The pilot did not ask to land in Egypt, and the plane headed for Libyan airspace, they said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to brief the media.
Geneva airport said departures would resume at 8.15 a.m. (0715 GMT) and arrivals at 8.45 a.m. (0745 GMT).

Authorities had issued the advisory after her custodial grandparents received a text message Sunday morning saying that Ellanna wouldn't be returned from a visit with non-custodial grand parents.  The toddler had last been seen Friday in Gray Summit, Missouri.

There's no word yet if any arrests have been made or if anyone will face charges in the case.

All authorities are saying at this time is that the little girl has been found safe.

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is putting climate change deniers in the same category as those who insist the Earth is flat.

Speaking in Indonesia today, Kerry says climate change may be the world's "most fearsome" weapon of mass destruction ther is and that urgent action is needed to combat it.

In a speech to Indonesian students, civic leaders and government officials in Jakarta, Kerry accused climate change deniers of using shoddy science and scientists to delay measures needed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.

He also argued that everyone and every country must take responsibility and act immediately.

Kerry argued that the cost of inaction to environments and economies will far outweigh even the significant expense of reducing greenhouse gas emissions that trap solar heat in the atmosphere and contribute to the Earth's rising temperatures.
