Protesters march in Clayton, demand answers in Michael Brown death

Clayton, MO (KTRS) – Demonstrators continue to protest in downtown Clayton. They demand answers and action for the shooting death of Michael Brown.

Protestors issued the same list of demands that was released yesterday. The chief requests: for the officer who shot Brown to be identified, fire, and charged with murder.

The full list of demands:

1. For the officer who killed Brown to be identified.
2. For the officer who killed Brown to be fired and charged with murder.
3. They want the police department’s “Protocol Handbook” released to the public.
4. They want the Ferguson Police Department’s employees to reflect the racial demographic of the community.

Monday, Ferguson police announced they would release the name of the officer who killed Brown. Tuesday, Police Chief Tom Jackson said they will not release the name until legally required to do so. Jackson said a picture of an officer has been circulating on social media, but that is not the officer involved in the shooting. Death threats have been made against the incorrectly identified officer.

While there are not many details about Brown’s shooting, police and witnesses agree that Brown was unarmed at the time of the shooting
