Reverend Wilson Concerned Community Has Reached “Ferguson Fatigue”

St. Louis, MO (KTRS)  We must not forget how we got here. Those were the words spoken by Reverend Starsky Wilson at Monday night’s meeting of the Ferguson Commission at Clayton High School.

The co- chair of the Commission expressed his concern over the light turn out and the overall focus of the community. “I am concerned that as a region we have reached a bit of Ferguson fatigue. I am concerned that have gotten so deep into discussions about issues and infrastructure and the capacities that we need in our respective organizations, that we have forgotten that we got to this place because of police violence, brutality, and the need for accountability thereof. “

Rudy Nickens, the equal opportunity and diversity director for Missouri Department of Transportation, was the keynote speaker . Nickens’s presentation was geared toward creating a community of equity.

The next meeting of the Ferguson Commission will be on April 27th.
