Second suspect arrested in drug deal gone bad

St. Louis, MO (KTRS) – Police captured a second suspect connected to a drug deal gone bad that left one person dead.

17-year-old Terence McKinney a total of twelve charges include second-degree murder. Police say McKinney and 18-year-old Samuel Vazquez-Gonzales are two of five suspects in the case. The incident occurred Thursday, July 24.

Three men agreed to meet a group of five men in an abandoned house in south St. Louis. Investigators believe the men were there for a drug deal, but during the transaction the five suspects tried to rob the men. The suspects started shooting. One victim was killed, a second hit in the chest, and the third was uninjured.

Both McKinney and Vazquez-Gonzales are held without bond.
