Fans of NBC's "The Voice" start Facebook petition to save local singer
Fans of Chesterfield, MO singer Caroline Glaser have started an online petition through Facebook to get the area teen back performing on NBC's "The Voice."
Caroline Glaser was eliminated during Wednesday night's show. Just before the audience votes were revealed, the show announced there were some discrepancies with online and text votes but claimed results were not compromised. Fans are questioning that as well as what they say was inadequate time for Coach Adam Levine to choose between Caroline or competitor Sarah Simmons. With time running out, Levine chose to save Simmons.

Mercy hospital system to cut 70 jobs in consolidation
Mercy's hospital system is consolidating its physician clinic business office functions and with that comes job cuts.
The Chesterfield-based hospital system announced is cutting 70 jobs--19 here in St. Louis, the rest in Springfield, Mo., and Oklahoma City.
Mercy said it's trying to place eligible employees in open positions elsewhere within the company. Severance is being provided to employees based on their length of employment.
"Mercy’s revenue management division recently completed a consolidation of its hospital and physician clinic business office functions," Mercy said in a statement. "By bringing these teams together, the division will be able to achieve some of the patient satisfaction goals that Mercy has long been working toward, from creating a combined statement covering both hospital and clinic bills, to establishing a single phone number for scheduling appointments."
Mercy operates 32 hospitals and 300 outpatient facilities in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, and has 38,000 employees.
Chesterfield singer advances on NBC's "The Voice"
One of the youngest performers on TV's "The Voice" is St. Louis-area coffeehouse singer-songwriter Caroline Glaser.
18-year-old Caroline Glaser of Chesterfield moves forward on the hit TV singing competition that airs locally on KSDK-TV Channel 5, Monday and Tuesday nights.
During last night's battle rounds, her mentor Blake Shelton decided to drop her in favor of a fellow contestant.
But Adam Levine and Usher enacted their “steal” option, allowing her to stay on the show. Glaser opted to go to Levine’s team.
Special guest and fellow Missouri native Sheryl Crow appeared on the show as guest adviser to Glaser and her competitor.
