St. Louis, MO (KTRS) - Belleville Police are asking for the public's help to find a boy they believe was taken by his non-custodial mother.
Police issued a SARAA Alert this morning for 11-year-old DeAngelo Lopez. Police say the boy's father had let the child's mother, 30-year-old Coreen Lopez, take him for a visit on Sunday, April 20. Neither she nor the boy have been heard from since. DeAngelo Lopez is described as black, 4-foot-11, 80-pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a black mark on his lower lip and a half-inch scar on the back of his head. He was last seen wearing Khaki shorts and a white tee shirt.
Coreen Lopez was driving a burgundy Kia Optima with Illinois tags and may have headed to St. Louis. Anyone with information is urged to call Belleville Police.
A St. Louis County toddler who was the subject of S.A.R.A.A. and AMBER Alerts is safe.
St. Louis County Police had issued the alerts Monday evening after one year old Tristian Readye was taken from a home in the 2900 block of Patterson Road in North County. Police say the boy had been seen about 8:00 p.m. riding in a stolen Monte Carlo.
Authorities canceled the alerts about 11:00 p.m. after the child was found abandoned in that car at Illinois and South Broadway in South St. Louis.
There's no word if police have caught the person who took him.
