Two STL neighborhoods listed as most dangerous in America
Two St. Louis neighborhoods are being singled out as some of the most dangerous in America.
The Fountain Park & Columbus Square neighborhoods were ranked 12th and 22nd respectively by the website NeighborhoodScout.com.
Fountain Park is just north of the Central West End at Delmar and North Euclid. Its boundaries are MLK Drive, Delmar Boulevard, Walton Avenue, and North Kingshighway Boulevard.
Columbus Square is just north of the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis at Cass Avenue and 9th. Its boundaries are Cass Avenue, Interstate 70, North Tucker Boulevard, and Cole Street.
The website NeighborhoodScout.com used FBI crime data to compile the rankings. That includes data from all 17,000 local law enforcement agencies in America, we here report those specific neighborhoods in America that have the highest predicted rates of violent crime per 1,000 neighborhood residents of all.
Violent crimes include murder, forcible rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.
