The 2013 season at Busch is now over, the focus now turns outside the stadium.

Ballpark Village is set to open next year and hiring is set to begin in the coming months. Employers say they will have information sessions and job fairs upcoming. Until then, candidates may want to contact the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment. SLATE advisors are offering to help anyone hoping to work at Ballpark Village.  Services include free resume-writing workshops, job training and interview tips.

SLATE staff should start referring candidates for open positions in January. But first, you must pre-register at a SLATE office.

If you are in the riverfront area in downtown today, you might see a US Coast Guard presence.

No reason to worry, it is all part of a Homeland Security training exercise. Training takes place today and Tuesday. Seven agencies will participate. This includes local, state, and federal agencies.

The 63-year-old man accused of shooting at two people in a North County bar, has died, the man who attacked him, facing charges.

The shooting occurred late Friday night inside the Pirates Cove bar in Florissant. The Post-Dispatch reports that Edward Mueller of Florissant was disarmed and assaulted by Douglas Layman after the shooting. Mueller was taken to the hospital died from a heart attack.

Layman is the brother of the victims. Layman is charged with second degree murder and held on a quarter-million dollar bond.
