Three Organizations Receive Grant Money From Mardi Gras Foundation

St. Louis, MO (KTRS)  The Gene Slay Boys’ Club in Soulard is one of three grant recipients of the 2014 Mardi Gras Foundation.

Mayor Francis Slay made that announcement during a press conference on Tuesday.

“The Board of Mardi Gras Foundation has awarded $12,000 for needed capital improvements to the Gene Slay Boys Club which continues to improve the lives of young people.”

The rest of the grant money will go to the National Blues Museum and and the final installment of a 25-thousand-dollar grant which includes Soulard in the Convention and Visitor’s Commission’s regional wayfinding signage program.

It was also announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2015 round of community grants. More information is available online at www.mgfoundationstl.org.
