(KTRS) – A pair of activists are facing charges connected to a confrontation that happened during the “Moral Monday” shutdown of Interstate 70.

The St. Louis County Prosecutor’s office says that Brittany Ferrell and Alexis Templeton were involved in an altercation with a motorist who tried to drive through the line of protesters. Court documents say that Templeton punched the driver in the face through an open window in the vehicle. Ferrell is accused of kicking the driver’s car, causing nearly $5,000 in damage.

Ferrell remains in jail on a $10,000 bond, while Templeton has been released.
