UPDATE: Police raid home in connection to officer shooting

St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger isn’t calling the shooting of two police officers during a Ferguson protest a setback in the community’s healing process.

“I think it’s an extremely unfortunate incident and it deals with two particular individuals who were shot, two police officers who were shot in the line of their duty, so to that extent I don’t think it will hurt any healing process that’s going on in the community”, Stenger said. “I think the community at large is fully supportive of these officers and probably wishes the very best for them”

Both officers were released from the hospital Thursday morning.

Police Tactical units conducted a raid of a home near the location where the shots were fired. Police confirm the raid is connected to last night’s events. Three people have been taken into custody for questioning, but there are no arrests at this time.
