Scott Brooks has been an investment adviser since 1987, directly managing over $100 million in client assets and serving as a risk management consultant on over $1 Billion.
His investment philosophy has been one of risk management. The cornerstone to his success is the vigilant recognition that losses hurt you more than gains help you.
Scott’s commitment to the retirement needs of Americans has led to numerous endeavors. He has served as an instructor in the University of Missouri’s Learning in Retirement Program and, after seeing the first hand effects of the burgeoning health care crises among America’s retirees’, Scott founded and acted as Chairman of Revolution Medical, an incentives based health insurance contractor dedicated to improving the health, and consequently the lives, of Americans.
Scott has also taught several courses as a guest lecturer in the Finance Department at the University of Missouri, as well as consulted with professors at other American universities.
He has been a guest on the “Roger Arnold Radio Show”, the “Diane and Debbie Show” and the “Outdoors Dan Radio Show”, as well as being interviewed on various TV and news outlets.
Scott and his wife work with illiterate youth teaching them how to develop basic reading skills. They also work with “at risk” kids, taking them into their home and teaching them basic life skills. Scott takes an active role in coaching youth sports and mentoring children of all backgrounds, as well as having served as Scout Master for his son’s Boy Scout troop.
Gordon has three children.
