St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  The St. Louis murder count continues to rise after a violent twenty four hours.

Five people were killed in three separate shootings. The first incident happened around 4 p.m. Thursday in the Walnut Park East neighborhood. Police say gunfire erupted near the corner of Beacon and Lillian Avenues. Two men, a woman, and her 7-year-old daughter were all hit in the gunfire.

The three adults died of their injuries. Two of the victims have been identified as 24- year old Jessica Garth and her boyfriend,  27-year old Derrik Irving. The name of the other victim has not been released.

Garth’s daughter is listed in critical, but stable condition.

There’s no word on a motive or of any arrests in the case.

A 13-year-old boy was fatally shot  around 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 2500 block of Hodiamont Avenue. About an hour later, a man was found shot to death in the  1500 block of Cochran Place. The victims in these shootings haven’t been identified.

These latest killings brings the St. Louis murder count to at least 71 for the year.
